Teaching Yoga

Becoming a yoga teacher was one of the best decisions of my life. The teacher training was a wonderful and positive experience for me. Even though it required a lot of hard work and a high level of accountability, it gave me a deeper understanding of where yoga came from and why it helps [me] so much in life.
Hatha yoga is the over-arching form of yoga that we mostly practice here in the west. (It has many subdivisions). My teacher has a particular flavor that resonates quite well for me: Warrior Yoga. It's a combination of flowing poses (like in Ashtanga) yet with a focus on strength building...and it includes core (abdominal) exercises. I like this fluid style because the transition from one pose to another becomes like a dance.
Teaching yoga gives me an opportunity to refine and deepen my practice. And it has given me some truly wonderful experiences - like teaching yoga to Corteo! Read about it on the Cirque page.
